I am going to find out the different aspects and types of lens used on DLR cameras and why we use DSLR cameras.
Questions :
What type of lenses are used for what shot?
What type of angles will you have to use for each of them?
Which are the top 3 cameras to use for a DSLR?
Why are there different ones?
How I am going to carry out my research:
Primary :
look at the different lenses me and my dad owns ?
Ask someone in my family about the different lenses as he used to be a photographer?
Test them out for myself which different shots ?
Secondary :
Research the different websites such as tech radar and Pc Mag for their opinions on what lens and Camera is the best.

The first thing to start off with is why do we have different DSLR’s?
There are so many DSLRs now days all camera company’s are producing them and they are now not just creating DSLRs for professionals, everyday use as well. This is so then they can aim it at a wider audience to get more people into the arts of photography or film.
There are different DSLRs for different purposes, some you can use everyday ,some can be more specific such as filmmaking so that’s why you may need a camera with a mic input and one that has 60 fps as well as high shutter speed to rather than using one for photographer is different when you are looking for the quality , iso, white balance and various setting needed.
CANON EOS 1300D DSLR Camera – it is an 18 mega pixel However the only negative with this is that it is more limited with filming such as not having a mic input so then you won’t have a crisper sound when filming. However, if it is used for photography it is quick and easy to use as this is a camera which is created for beginners starting out.

CANON EOS 5D Mark III DSLR Camera – This one of the most expensive DSLRs that canon produces the 5D captures photography at its essence with such a high pixel of 22.3 the main focus of this product was for it to be used taking fast motion shots in photography or film which captures in 30 frames per a second.

What is the difference and what company is best to use for what .
Many usually compare between Nikon and canon which are the top companies used for DSLR use.
My overview :
In my opinion, I think that Nikon is the best for film for having such a high rate of 50 to 60 frames when videoing. Although comparison to a canon this has less modes to use to create more of an accurate image for photography.

When I was looking into more research for the different lenses and cameras I thought about looking up different filmmakers on YouTube to see what they use as these cameras that these use are for cinematography and everyday use for vlogging or creating a short film. Although some of them maybe amateur filmmakers it’s still useful to know what is the best for everyday use. These are the channels I searched up

There was a documentary that he watched in a New York film festival called Tarnation (2003) which only cost them $218 to make and they made from that over 1.2 million dollars in the box office it shows from any film like this it’s about the storytelling and how you are going to portray your idea rather than the quality.
Camera –
Throughout the years like many filmmakers he has used various ones as technology progressed filmmaking and the quality progressed. For everyday use ,it is the Canon mark 70 D.

Camera –
For taking photos and filmmaking they use a canon Rebel T3 in comparison these are quite cheap cameras in comparison to others you can buy but they are easy and quick to use.

What are the best cameras and lens to use from companies Nikon and canon ?
For the best, you can’t really say what is the best of the best as everyone has different opinions and want to use this to show that there are various options out there which are used to focus on certain outcomes
Lens – They use the Canon Efs 18-200 mm this is one that is an everyday lens especially for close-ups and wide angles.

Sigma 18-135 mm – This is a lens that is an all-rounder which is used for any angle or zoom to produce a good shot.
The canon 70 D is known as the top camera for filmmaking this is because it has such a good auto focus and tracks the focus from whatever position.

Nikon D3300 – This is a lower price than the canon suggested above it has a 24.2 mega pixel which also has a high image sensor to and can film up to 60 fps.

The lens they recommend with this is the 24 – 70 mm this lens allow to zoom in and out and focuses on the subject very quickly and is great with the different details.

My view on Nikon and Canon cameras –
In my experience with both camera’s I believe canon’s in my opinion, are better just with the amount of faults I have had with Nikon’s whether they are compact or DSLR comparison with canons I have recently got one myself as I know most of my family use this company too. Overall canons gives quick auto focus this is a perfect camera to use whether you are a professional or a beginner. Although I will still be continuing to try to find out a camera that is best for what I want to use it for. As every camera has a specific use.
The camera I use is the canon 1200d I believe this is a perfect camera for beginners with having quick autofocus and all setting you need for photos. However ,this camera hasn’t go a mic input which put the camera down a little bit in comparison to other. But apart from that, I find it a very useful camera for anything.
The lenses I like to use :
10-22 mm wide-angle – this is a perfect image for landscapes to create a bigger picture and setting.
18-55 mm – everyday use this has a very good zoom and focus if you just want to use it for quick shots.
75-300 mm – zoom This is a lens which most people recommend this is a good lens for cinematography and highlighting the detail in objects or scenes.
Comparison between the canon 1200d and 60d with three different lenses :
I have done a comparison between a canon 60d and an eos canon 1200d between three of the lenses I mostly use.
I think the 60 d had higher quality on the focus side whereas the 1200d was quicker to auto-focus rather than the 60 d took quite a long time.
The 1200d camera seems to have more white balance than the 60 D as through the windows of the natural light in the 60 D one it was too bright rather than the other one was more toned down.
I think The 1200d is less focused than the 60 d this adds more light to the subject rather than dulling it down.
Overall result – I think both of them have their advantages and disadvantages when using both the 60d was quicker to capture however when focusing with the 75mm-300mm it was too slow to focus.
